OMG...seriously what an ass....I guess I am lucky that my ex has nothing to do with his daughter and has not even seen her since she was 2. What a loser he is! I am lucky if I get child support a few times a year. (he is currently $35,000 behind) State does nothing to make him pay. I provided them with his address and phone number and do you think that they would do anything?! hell no. I guess its a blessing in disguise.

As for your situation, WOW...it really wasn't too much to ask. I hope he is footing at least half of the bill for the surgery. Its not your fault that he is on the other side of the country. He is in the military...or at least I assume he still is. I know its hard and stressful, but maybe its really best that he isn't there. He would only make it more difficult, don't ya think?! Men just never understand this sort of thing...UGH...he sounds like like such an ass! I am truly sorry dear!

Ok you're not gonna believe this... but I have the same fondness... in fact theres a parkway here on Long Island that is lined with these really old trees and they're all different twisted shapes... and I always think of them as beings.. with personalities... (STRANGE YOU SAY??)  My sister actually tells still teases me about how I think they're old souls or something.. so I most definitely get what you're saying and am quite pleased to see the tree affinity is alive and well.

Ahhh thanks... it's one of those things that come along in life that is just so filled with emotion... I always liked glass - used to be able to find beach glass and although environmentally it was awful - the soft errosion against the shards edge was really something special...    appreciate your kind words.  :)

You're doing an awesome thing, my ex and I made some amazing life long friends by them taking the time out to send their love and support to my ex when over seas. They went through our engagement with us, wedding and even my pregnancy. It's an amazing thing what one small gesture can do. GOOD FOR YOU!! :D 


I totally appreciated you saying something and forwarding the link...  I did a quick fact check on the email I got to see if it was a hoax and it came up A OK... no mention of the 9/11 article in your link and it so makes sense.
