I decided to venture to La this past June. I was thinking it would be great beach weather..That really wasnt the case. it seems i was over there in the middle of June gloom (a weather pattern where its cloudy to 2-3pm in the day).. here in virginia the beach is hot in the summer. the average daily high was 70-75. People wear wearing sweat jackets on the beach and hoodies hehe. I have always had a fascination with venice beach ever since seeing the doors movie. Well it wasnt all its portrayed to be. I chose a hotel near the beach but was told not to hang out at night there cause there might be gangs, the outdoors bathroom facilities were horrendous.I did like all the people approaching me on the beach trying to sell me a cd. I love meeting musicians. The street entertanment wasnt as numerous as u would expect. I did see the guy on roller skates with a guitar and a guy juggling fire sticks on a unicycle. They had an awesome taco place called big daddys(heavy on cilantro my favorite) definately diffrent than the local taco bell. venice seemed kinda dirty but i guess i still liked it even though it was never tanning weather there. im use to caribean heheh. I also did the stars tour thru beverly hills and saw michael jackson;s rented mansion before all the news broke. I also went to the beetroot is right, wht a bunch of standing around for nothing, it seems you have a better chance of getting picked if yr unemployed or a recent colleg grad looking for work. the pch is awesome ( pacific coast highway). i recommend driving north rather than south on it,
