I'm going to jump on the "buck up little camper" wagon, and reiterate that you always have us to bitch and moan to. Many say that no one can make you feel bad without your permission. Well, yeah, in a perfect world and for people with perfect, healthy, 100% balanced self esteem. But in reality, people CAN make you feel bad against your own will. Just keep in mind that you've never met these people, and so you don't have to respect them or give a shyte what they think.
Just try to keep your head up, and maybe try what Eunice said. If you're not comfortable verbally confronting people, maybe just make eye contact and either smile or wave and see what happens.
