I absolutely love pinup art. Vargas, Elvgren....and I have tried for years to find willing (operative word willing) red haired models. As a photographer, I find it difficult to ask other women about this without them being totally embarassed, offended, or plain shocked. Doesn't every girl wanna be a pinup? I did. Most women I approach immediately denounce their bodies as too unsightly for such a genre, but I always promise to make them look great! I finally found a model. She's 20, cute, and loves to try something new. Jackpot. So I have shared two of the photos from our shoot, but now I need more models. Can anyone explain why this vintage artform is so intimidating? No one has to get nekked! Or maybe I am just the world's last woman who isn't offended by pinup art and all of it's imposed women's anti-liberation theories. Oh well, back to having fun.
