Warning: really sad
Posted On 05/19/2008 23:55:04 by PinkZebra

One of my daughter's best friends died at a party yesterday. She was only 15, There had been some drinking, but apparently she died of natural causes. She was a good kid, in the Criminal Justice magnet program. My daughter is of course pretty upset. She has her 17th birthday this week. Gonna kind of put a damper on things, since most of her friends knew her.

Anyway, I so feel for the child's family. I can't imagine if anything happened to my daughter, especially since she has been so sick lately. She got really upset at school when she found out and had her medical teacher take her BP. It was 130/100. I worry about her all the time. And then something like this happens.

All warm thoughts and best wishes to your daughter,Pinky. From personal experience, I had a friend die from natural causes when she was 30 so I do know that this will have knocked her for six.

She apparently had fluid on her heart, something they were not aware of. Details are still sketchy since it happened so recently. My daughter is a very together young lady but a friend dying suddenly is hard at any age. She created a montage in memorium for her friend. It's very sweet.

That is such a shocker, so very sad and upsetting, something similar happened to one of my son's friend. Love and best wishes to you and your daughter.

Such a waste. I don't understand "natural causes" when it comes to a 15 year old; but it's very sad.

I'm sure your daughter will come through the sadness and I do hope she gets to feeling better very soon.
