Poetical Challenging
Posted On 05/20/2008 07:36:09 by FamilyJules

Based on Euni's challenge to write a poem using specific words (and I wasn't clear on if I had to use 75 words or if I couldn't use any MORE than 75 so anyway I used 43 and this is the last thing I'm gonna use as procrastination regarding my marketing piece thingie (combo resume/porfolio/business card to give out and mail so maybe someday in a not-so-far-away galaxy someone will hire me to do some kinda, I dunno, work, or summat).

"Another Freakin' Poem"

By Jules

Consider a life

Shattered as if porcelain

Denied grace

Killing apathy

Brings the dusk of that specific day

Into clear focus

A moment of decision, regret, what if

No conscious choice

An interpretation

The bargain struck and broken

Always anticipating the second chance

(end)

And I think everyone should take the challenge, it's fun! The words your gotta use are:

interpret, bargain, consider, apathy, dusk,
deny, shatter, specific, anticipate and porcelain

And according to Euni, you gotta use at least five of them but if you ONLY use five, then you only get 50 words to play with and if you use all ten words then you get 75 words.

So...yeah.

i could bargain, but why mess with my life?
its fate right, so please dont stress and i wont fight!

i consider many things, but i retort to the better.
my skins tough like porcelain my hearts light like a feather

ive done seen the worst of weather and the best of times shatter!
ive done trudged through the hate and destroyed the mouths of chatter!!!

i dont deny my wrong doings, many people make mistakes!?!?!
ill make a few more in my life..... at least i anticipate!!!

to be specific... my mind i cant interpret?
but... many days at dusk i have battled with the serpent!!!

no apathy, i run wothout worry or fear!!!
i steer but the direction..... it seems quite unclear!!!

I used 51 including the 10,

Dusk falls, the porcelain moon rises,

I anticipate the storm,

Windows shatter, trees fall,

I consider the damage,

Deny
the fear, and interpret as excitement,

Feel apathy for the broken,

Winds intensify,

Fear increases.

I bargain with God,

SAVE ME!

Darkness!

The sun shines,

The specifics elude me,

I am saved!

Consider.

Consider the more, of us, as few we are.

Consider, our bargain, and throw to the dusk of which you live.

Watch it shatter, piece by undenying piece.

Consider, the specific findings of which you've made.

Consider, the interpretation of such items in their hearts.

Anticipate the fall of many, into the abyss, to the frail trench.

Consider, the porcelain of which I offer and break it.

Consider, this apathy of which I walk; join.

I do not know how you do it, but that is a great poem!

I had a go, and it was quite a challenge!!!. I used 73 words, including all the 10 words. So here it is -

To interpret

we consider

The story of life

Happiness or sadness

a bargain paid

a agreement

with ones self

In  life’s play

At the end of the day

when dusk does fall

Does one anticipate

The tomorrow

Does one shatter

the beauty of now

Stealing energy

settling in apathy

Do we deny our

porcelain heart

So fragile

yet so strong

To be more specific

We should just be!

Floating merrily

Happily and free!
