I'm a natural redhead that is slowly going gray. I used to hate my red hair, but now I want to keep it as long as possible. I have long natural curly hair and amber colored eyes. I got married at the age of 18 and will celebrate my 30th anniversary in April of 2008. I like to walk at least 4-5 days a week. On a typical day, I walk 3-4 miles, usually getting in at least 15-20 miles of walking a week. Walking helps to clear my mind and maintain my weight. I'm interested in health related topics, especially hypothyroidism. I try to help others with this conditions whenever I can. Far too many doctors don't know how to treat the condition so that the person is symptom free. I found the old method using natural thyroid hormones that has been around for 100+ years is the best method of treatment. I am on Armour thyroid for my underactive thyroid and I'd never go back to the synthetic medications. What I found weird about hypothyroidism, is that redheads are more prone to developing the condition. That's one downside of being a redhead, so if you experience symptoms like weight gain, fatigue, hairloss, depression, constipation, and muscle and joint aches....get your thyroid tested. I have 1 grown married daughter and 1 grandson who live about 90 minutes away. I love old cars, as well as some new cars. My current old car is a 1971 Chevelle Malibu, which we have owned since 1984. It used to be lime green, but now its red. Some day I hope to own a 1968 Dodge Charger. In 2004, I got my grandmothers car when she passed on in 2004....a 1989 Ford Mustang LX 5.0. My grandmother loved this car, probably because most people were shocked an elderly women was driving it. She'd kill me for saying elderly, but how else do you describe a women in her 90's. Some day I'd like to have it repainted, so it looks like new again. I'm on the shy side in person, but once I get to know people I am far from shy. I am the person who always listens without judging....always trying to help. Photos - Believe it or not the photo of my daughter was taken when she was 25. She is 29 now and still looks very young. The dragonfly is a painting she did for me. She is a freelance artist. I'll eventually put a recent photo of myself up when I actually feel OK about a photo. I hate having my photo taken, which results in no decent photos.

honest and caring people,

rude people, spam, liars, telemarketers, inconsiderate people,

walking, flea markets, classic cars, bird watching, dragonflies, helping others with hypothyroidism

I actually don't have family in the area, So I had not really planned on doing anything.  But, my ex mother and father in law asked if I would go with them to eat at a thanksgiving brunch, so I'm going with them.  They said the ex isn't going to be there.  So we will see how that turns out.

Have fun at your Daughters, and Happy Thanksgiving

That's so funny, about the thong!

I'm glad to finally see your face, Donna (I'm assuming the "so so cell phone" pic is you?) You're lovely!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your always reading my nonsensical ramblings. I DO try to connect, and often it's difficult. So it makes me feel very good when I feel that I do.

Thanks, and I hope you have a great--if snowy--day!

Jules
